MEET THE SPEAKERS
DR. ABRAHAM J. JULES
Dr. Abraham J. Jules serves as the 22nd President of the Atlantic Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, providing spiritual and administrative leadership across six conferences in the northeastern United States and Bermuda. He was elected to this position on June 6, 2024, after serving as President of the Northeastern Conference.
At the heart of Dr. Jules' leadership is a strong commitment to evangelism and making disciples for Jesus Christ. His leadership philosophy emphasizes dependence upon God, compassionate service, collaboration, and equipping the church to fulfill its mission. Dr. Jules is married to Dr. Dominique Jules, and they are the parents of two adult children, Raven and Dylan. Through passionate preaching, visionary leadership, and a lifelong commitment to evangelism, Dr. Abraham J. Jules continues to inspire the Atlantic Union family to advance the mission of Christ and prepare people for His soon return.
DR. ALANZO H. SMITH
Dr. Alanzo H. Smith serves as President of the Greater New York Conference (GNYC) of Seventh-day Adventists, providing spiritual and administrative leadership to a diverse network of churches, schools, ministries, pastors, educators, and members throughout the Greater New York area. A committed Christian leader and minister, Dr. Smith emphasizes mission, spiritual growth, unity, education, youth development, and community impact. Under his leadership, the Conference has pursued its mission under the theme “United in Mission, We Will Go,” encouraging churches and ministries to work collaboratively in sharing the Gospel and serving their communities.
Dr. Smith's ministry reflects a strong commitment to servant leadership and evangelism, with an emphasis on strengthening congregations, developing young people, supporting Christian education, and maintaining spiritual unity among workers and members. He has also participated in initiatives addressing community and family concerns, including child-safety education and calls for prayer and support during humanitarian crises. Through his leadership, Dr. Alanzo Smith continues to encourage the Greater New York Conference family to remain Christ-centered, mission-focused, united, and committed to preparing people for the soon return of Jesus Christ.

The Bronx-Wide Seventh-day Adventist Churches - a collaborative network of English-speaking Adventist congregations within the English Ministries sector of Greater New York Conference of Seventh-day Adventists - is united in a common commitment to proclaiming the everlasting gospel, building Christ-centered communities, and serving the people of the Bronx with compassion and hope.
Guided by the vision "Upward in Christ – Inward in Connection – Outward in Commission," our churches work together to strengthen one another through worship, fellowship, discipleship, community outreach, health ministries, evangelism, youth engagement, and acts of service. By combining our gifts and resources, we seek to make a greater impact for God's kingdom throughout the Bronx.
